Burglary/motor vehicle theft/theft

west bend police logo• Two subjects, a 22-year-old Campbellsport woman and a 32-year-old West Bend man, were arrested on numerous charges following a motor vehicle theft at 10:35 p.m. Sept. 9 in the 200 block of Creek Road. At this time, an officer observed a vehicle that was backed out of a driveway and stopped in the eastbound traffic lane. The vehicle was running, the headlamps were off and the windshield wipers were on; the vehicle was in reverse and unoccupied. As the officer stopped to investigate, the owner of the vehicle came out of a residence and reported that a male subject just tried to steal his vehicle from his garage. During the investigation, officers observed a female walking in the area. The female failed to stop for the officers, disappeared around a building and hid. The female was found hiding behind a business in the 1700 block of Creek Road. Further investigation determined that the female and the male listed above had entered several unlocked vehicles stealing property from the vehicles and that the male subject attempted to steal the car from the garage on Creek Road. The female was placed in jail on charges of obstructing an officer, burglary, operating a motor vehicle without owner’s consent, theft and felony bail jumping. The male subject turned himself in to the Washington County Jail and was incarcerated on charges of burglary, operating a motor vehicle without owner’s consent and theft. Investigation is ongoing.

Operating while intoxicated/ resisting/disorderly conduct

• A 24-year-old West Bend man was arrested for operating while intoxicated- second offense and resisting after he was stopped for erratic driving at 1:21 a.m. Sept. 11 at E. Washington Street and Lenora Drive. The driver was found to be intoxicated and failed the field sobriety tests. While he was being arrested, he tried to pull away from the officers. The driver was placed in jail. The passenger, a 21-year-old Kewaskum man, caused a disturbance during the field sobriety testing. He was cited for disorderly conduct and released.

Disorderly conduct

• Two 21-year-old men, one from Fall River and the other from West Bend, were cited for disorderly conduct at George Webb, 852 S. Main St., at 2:27 a.m. Sept. 12 after yelling and causing a disturbance in the parking lot the restaurant.

Lewd and lascivious behavior

• Police are investigating a lewd and lascivious behavior incident that was reported at 9:49 p.m. Sept. 5. According to the report, a 31-year-old male in the 1200 block of Vogt Drive was waiting for his friend to open the security door of the building when an unidentified male walked up behind the victim and gave him a hug. As the victim turned around, he saw that the actor was naked. The victim yelled at the actor, who apologized and walked away. This is an open investigation.
