Criminal damage to property

west bend police logo• A 62-year-old West Bend man was arrested for criminal damage to property as a result of an incident that was reported at Hobby Lobby, 1800 S. Main St., at 1:07 p.m. Sept. 14. A female subject reported she parked her car at Hobby Lobby and as she was entering the store, a male subject commented to her about parking too close to his vehicle. As the male subject was exiting his parking stall, a witness observed him hold a knife out of the driver’s window and intentionally scratch the complainant’s vehicle. The male was located at his residence and placed in jail.

Disorderly conduct

• A 28-year-old West Bend man was arrested for disorderly conduct at Dublin’s, 110 Wisconsin St., at 9:01 p.m. Sept. 18 after causing a disturbance at the establishment. He was asked to leave and, once outside, the male subject continued to be disorderly and threatened the staff. A patron in the parking lot heard the disturbance and tried to calm the subject down. The subject threw a rock at the patron and charged at him. The patron defended himself by punching the subject, who fell to the ground and cut the back of his head. The subject was medically cleared and placed in jail.

Negligent handling of burning materials

• A 25-year-old West Bend man was cited for negligent handling of burning materials at 10:27 p.m. Sept. 22 as police investigated a fire in the 2100 block of Barton Avenue. During the investigation, the man approached the officers and stated that he caused the fire by dumping ash from his grill in the dumpster.

Possession of heroin, drug paraphernalia

• A 48-year-old West Bend man was arrested for possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia at 1:28 p.m. Sept. 16 at the Youth and Family Project residence, 228 N. 6th Avenue. Staff reported finding bag of needles in the tenant’s apartment and investigation of the drug paraphernalia determined the presence of heroin. The tenant was located and placed in jail.

Disorderly conduct, resisting an officer

• A 35-year-old West Bend man was arrested for disorderly conduct and resisting an officer after an incident at 4:16 p.m. Sept. 16 at West Bend Community Memorial Library, 630 Poplar St. Staff from the library called the Police Department about a male subject being disorderly in the library and threatening to punch a staff member in the face. The subject was leaving the library as the officers arrived. As officers attempted to stop the subject, he resisted officers. The male was arrested and placed in jail.
